Zimbabwe’s longest running urban culture festival Shoko Festival 2022 kicked off on a high note yesterday at Moto Republik.
The opening night was electrifying as Zim Hip Hop DJ Krimz kept people on their feet. Voice2Rep Watch Party, a collaboration between Magamba Network and AccountabilityLab was the main event and it kicked off from 6pm to 8pm.
Attendees had a lot of good words for the organisers as they praised them for pulling off a well organised event.
The second day of the festival belongs to women. The first event, Women Create Worlds, will be hosted by three women who will take time to share their knowledge of the media industry in Zimbabwe and how to prosper as women in the media.
The highlight of the day is going to be the Women Cypher where 8 women will take part in a musical cypher. The Women Cypher which is now in its third year running is one of the most anticipated events at the Festival.
Women who are participating at this year’s Women Cypher are Dj Fafi, Mary Jane, Rumbi Mundeta, Vanessa, Lisa Afonso, Celine, Lady Light from Zambia 🇿🇲 and Mrs Awage from Mozambique 🇲🇿.
