Hailing all the way from Mutare, Zimbabwe, Amapiano queen Charmaine Shamiso Mapimbiro, who is affectionately known as ShaSha has made history by becoming the first Zimbabwean artist to score a BET nomination. The songstress who is based in South Africa, has been making her mark in the music industry since she rose to fame.
ShaSha is nominated under the BET Viewer’s Choice International Act category. Shasha has had a phenomenal breakthrough in the industry, her hits songs such as Tender Love, have captured the hearts of many.
The artist who is signed under DJ Maphorisa’s record label, has been cementing her place in the Amapiano genre with numerous collaborations with Kabza de Small and Lord Phorry. She has become a force to reckon with, with her soothing voice and we cannot wait to see her flourish even more.
Taking to Twitter she expressed how grateful she is for this nomination, “I’m out of words, did not see this coming at all. Honestly, I’m just grateful, thankful, excited, numb just a whole lot of emotions, the mere fact that I’m nominated, man! This is amazing! I need you all more than ever to bring this home.”
