South Africa-based Hip Hop singer and songwriter Precious Frank who is popularly known as Phreshy in the Hip Hop circles is set to drop her debut studio album titled Camouflage.
The 13-track album is set to be released on the 15th of August 2022 and it will be available on all digital platforms.
In an interview with The ZimTainment, Phreshy said the album consists of 13 tracks with different story lines, sounds and emotions.
Camouflage the Transcend album talks about my story of adaptation to any situation in my life. Like the camouflage I blend in, be it good and rough times and I soldier on till I pull through, said Phreshy.
Camouflage album consists of 13 tracks with different story lines, sounds and emotions. One of the tracks is titled Roverei which talks about how I grew up in a toxic environment and how GBV affected me. I have never shared this part of my life before and I just felt like the Camo season will be the right time.
According to Phreshy, Camouflage is a cocktail of different music genres like Hip Hop, R’n’B, Caribbean, Drill, Afro-Pop and electro-music.
The Define Entertainment artist worked with four producers on her album and these are Vic Enlisted, Afrow Zenda, Dj States and Ashmanz.
The artists featured on the album include Dough Major, The Ammartian, Natasha Muz, Afrow Zenda, Tshaka, Kanter the Janter, Monzon & Shian, Dancehall Kedha, Malcom Mufunde and Uziboy from Nigeria.
Phreshy who is excited about the album said it is a follow up to an EP titled Dzerudo that she released in 2020.
I’m excited and the same time nervous, this is like my first baby. Overall I’m proud of myself, I really put in work, more work than my previous projects. I feel the growth in me through this experience musically and just general challenges that came along with this whole journey,” she said.
Phreshy has released two music videos off the upcoming album already, Ndipe and Tweet it or Call.
Phreshy said that after she releases her debut studio album she is going to work on pushing it so that many people get a chance to listen to her music and at the same time working on new projects.
