Zimbabwean Dancehall artiste Carrington Simbarashe Chiwadzwa who is affectionately known as Nutty O will make his debut international music festival appearance at the Bob Marley Birthday Festival.
The festival will be held in United Arab Emirates on the 8th of February 2019.
Nutty O will step on the aforementioned dancehall stage as an underdog but a Zimbabwean torch bearer.
Bob Marley is beyond reasonable argument, the greatest reggae artist that the world has ever known. He is to Jamaica what our national hero, Dr. Oliver Mutukudzi is to Zimbabwe pound for pound.
Byron Kabaira, Nutty O’s manager, described the year 2018 as a great leap year for Nutty O and his brand as he laid the much needed foundation to culminate in the fruition of a few national duty milestones as his collaboration with Etana, Jamaica’s biggest female reggae artiste.
“The 2019 season has officially begun with the release of Nutty O’s widely loved single, Winner, which preempts his stint as a young dreamer doing big things on the international stage,” said Kabaira.
“The cherry on top has been the release of ‘Mudenga‘ a track that goes on to leisurely talk about how his music talent has changed the young artist’s life.”
In the month of February Nutty O will tour CapeTown, South Africa for an appearance on the 3rd at Bashmouth Sound Birthday Bash.
He will be in United Arab Emirates for Bob Marley Birthday Festival on the 8th before making a club appearance on the 9th and returning to South Africa for a gig with House of Shisaka on the 15th and another club appearance on the 16th in Johannesburg.
