New Music: Shannel ft Sharky & Tanita – Tsika

In a world where acculturation has played a pivotal role in the lives of our generation, we now find ourselves derailing from our own culture and forgetting how our elders grew up and how they handled certain aspects of life.

With that in mind, one of Zim Hip Hop’s female rappers, Shannel, has decided to remind us to go back to where it began and start following our culture again in her new track titled Tsika.

The new track features the award winning rapper Sharky and Tanita who delivered a catchy chorus which you will probably fall in love with on your first time listening to this track.

In an interview with The ZimTainment, Shannel said:

Tsika is about how we as today’s generation have failed to adapt to our elders culture. So because of that we finding ourselves in regretful situations. But at the end we trying to give a message that our culture still matters and the younger generation should respect that

Shannel came in with a powerful verse at the beginning of the track and I could feel her energy behind the mic as she dropped her vernacular bars. The delivery was good and she really addressed to the theme of the song.

Sharky on the other hand came in real hard too but I feel like the second half of his verse where he dropped English bars was more dope than the first part.

Anyway, this is a dope joint with a dope beat which you can to, I really like the whole traditional flair in the track which made it somehow unique compared to other tracks which have been dropped lately.

If you want the track you can holla at Shannel and get the track for only $0.50 for a CD.
