Comedian Charles Merisi who is popularly known as Marabha has apologised to President Emerson Mnangagwa after an edited video of him appearing to insult the president went viral.
In a video clip posted by ZimCelebs TV, Marabha distanced himself from the video clip saying it was an edited video that meant to tarnish his image.
However many people on social media have expressed different feelings over the video in which Marabha apologised, some saying he shouldn’t have apologised since it is crystal clear that the video was edited and his clip was not directed at the president.
Marabha came into the spotlight in the mid 2000s when he acted in Street Theater alongside his long time friend Freddy Manjalima who is also known as Kapfupi.
The pair once became the face of comedy in Zimbabwe before they both went into oblivion, with Kapfupi pursuing a career in music.
