S.C.A.R.S is a ghetto story of survival, being born into trials and tribulations but being able to devise ways to adjust, cope and eventually thrive.
Side A highlights the struggle Maestro and those like him in his community, faced with the politics and hardships of living in a fatherless society.
Side B highlights the happy ending, is me now, someone who has survived through the struggle and risen above it.
If you listen closely the scars are now hidden in a fancier mask, this is the story of the youth using drugs, alcohol, and partying as a way to bury the reality they can’t face or to hide their own inadequacies.
