Multi award winning dance choreographer and music artist John Cole was dropped from the artist lineup that performed at the recently held Miss Zimbabwe Queen pageant.
In a statement published by the John Cole Group Management, John Cole was dumped because of the lack of finances.
“We regret to inform fans of John Cole who were looking forward to his performance at the Miss Zimbabwe Queen pageant that he will no longer be performing,” read the statement.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the organisers informed us that our act has been removed from the Saturday line-up because they were no longer able to meet their financial obligation.”
“John Cole values your continued support, and we will keep updating you on other events we will be performing at.”
This also came after John Cole had spent many days promoting this event as he was scheduled to perform, something that led to other people urging him to demand payment for promoting the show.
The incident was also an eye-opener to every artist in Zimbabwe, one commentator suggested that when artists are booked, they need to demand or agree to a deposit fee to avoid such incidents.
