Hip Hop and Afro Pop artiste, ExQ, who was the biggest winner at the Star FM Music Awards has apologised to fellow musician Freeman for not giving him credit whilst collecting awards for a song they did together.
ExQ who has been under the spotlight for the past few days has been condemned by many people for not recognising Freeman thrice when he collaborated his music awards.
The Nzenza hitmaker took to his Twitter account to air his apology and said it was a big mistake.
“Amana tukai zvenyu but it was mistake n ndakatikati (Sorry).goodday (Guys you can insult all you want but it was a mistake and I said sorry)” said ExQ in one of his tweets.

In an interview with H-Metro, ExQ’s manager, Samuel Mukondo, said it was a big mistake and not intentional not to mention Freeman.
“Let’s be human about what happened, when you walk to that podium you will be having a lot of excitement and when you are excited you are bound to make such a mistake.
“There is no way that ExQ can deliberately decide not to mention Freeman on the song when they worked together on the track to come out with a beautiful track.
“For your own information, it was Freeman who composed that song and ExQ appreciates Freeman very much that was the reason why he approached him for collaboration,” said Mukondo.
Fellow musician Trevor Dongo also came to ExQ’s defence explaining how people tend to forget certain things once they are on the podium because of excitement.
If only people would understand that once you get to that podium especially with too much excitement you tend to forget a lot of things to say not out of fear but due to the unbelief that you actually won and reality will only strike when you cool down later
