Changamire Festival Awards live up to their billing

It was all glitz and glamour when hundreds of Hip Hop fans and artistes thronged Long Cheng’s Club 1 + 1 in Harare on Friday night for the annual Changamire Festival Awards and were treated to scintillating performances by different Hip Hop artistes.

The awards ceremony which is only for artistes who take part in the Changamire Festival had quite a number of notable Zim Hip Hop artistes who gave top notch performances to keep the fans on their feet.

Beatboxers, Raheem and Tafara gave revelers a good run for their money with a well-articulated performance that saw them perform twice as revelers kept asking for more.

Natasha Muz who has recently gained popularity for her energetic performances brought the stage down with a sterling performance. Meanwhile the ‘Tonderai’ hit maker, Beav City made sure he left a huge mark as his performance also made people sing along to his hit record.

Some of the celebrities who thronged the event include; Ammara Brown, Beefy Harrison, Tehn Diamond, Ba Shupi, Tulk Munny and Stunner who made a cameo appearance on stage as he presented the best male award.

Speaking on the sidelines of the awards ceremony, the founder of Changamire Festival, Tafadzwa ‘Zimboy’ Muchechetere thanked everyone who took part in the event for it to be successful and all the artistes and fans who pulled through.

“Right now I’m in cloud nine man, I’m happy because everything have gone according to plan, this has been a successful event as you can see,” he said.

“I’d like to thank everybody who made this a success, the sponsors, artistes and fans as well as you guys from the media. My big shout outs go to Young Games Entertainment, Chasers, Empire 263, New Africa, Team Tok Less, Creative Ideas, SK Music district, Team Big Family, Power Circle, man the list is endless”

The Changamire Festival’s next show is going to be at Chitsuwa Restaurant before they take it down to South Africa at Hydro in Sandton and then the United Kingdom in Birmingham and London.
